I’ve contemplated starting a blog for 5 years.  I won’t bore you with the internal debate I’ve had on the pros and cons of blogging, but in the end it just didn’t seem “me”.  I don’t like to hear myself talk and am overly critical of my writing.  And, who really cares what I think anyway?  What I really like to do is share… and help.  So that’s what this “blog” is about, sharing and helping.  I read a lot and have a passion for emerging technologies and how they impact the way we live our lives.  I am a consumer-centrist.  That perspective has helped me create some very effective marketing for the companies I’ve worked for and with –some Fortune 100, some start-ups, some local, some global.   So I read a lot and I get a lot of mental sparks.  This is what I will share.  The world is changing faster than ever.  Consumer behavior is in constant flux.  How we, as marketers, reach and communicate with consumers is an ever-changing process.   Companies that get and stay ahead are those that understand this.  So as I read, I will share and my hope is that in the process I am also able to help. This is not a blog, it is a log of my inspiration, let’s just call it an “iLog”, and I hope you, too, find some inspiration.  This is not a one-way communication (please don’t let me talk to myself!), it is a dialogue starter, so don’t hesitate to add your two cents or ask questions or pose a challenge.  You’ll get to know more about me, but I also want to get to know you.  Here we go…

P.S. I posted the history of blogging from NY Magazine for those who are trivia thirsty.
